Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing System

Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing System

ALMAR supplies gases such as FM-200, NOVEC 1230, INERGEN, ARGONITE as clean gas fire extinguishing systems.Clean gas fire extinguishing systems is using for the such a protection of engine room , aux engine room , switch board room , incinerator room

INERGEN is a mixture of 52% Nitrogen, 40% Argon and 8% CO2. However, in the event of a fire, when INERGEN is discharged, it mixes with the air present in the area to create a mixture that comprises of 67.3% Nitrogen, 12.5% Oxygen, 17% Argon and 3.2% Carbon Dioxide.

ARGONITE is a simple blend of 50% Argon gas and 50% Nitrogen gas with a density similar to that of air.  Both Argon and Nitrogen are clean, naturally occurring gases that are readily available throughout the world.  The system has no direct global warming or ozone depletion potential. Argonite requires minimal post-fire clean up and will not decompose or produce any by-products when exposed to a flame from a fire situation.

FM-200 (HFC-227ea) is formed from the elements carbon, fluorine and hydrogen (CF3CHFCF3-heptafluoropropane).

NOVEC 1230 fluid is a fluorinated ketone that is stored as a liquid and discharged gas.

All systems are designed according to (NFPA) Standard 2001, “Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing System” and IMO & SOLAS rules.
