ALMAR's Fixed High Expansion Foam Fire Extinguishing System" is using inside air for the protection of machinery space and cargo pump rooms and has the self rotating blower by water discharge nozzle.The ALMAR High Expansion Foam System uses seawater and synthetic foam concentrate to extinguish the fire. The fire is extinguished by filling the spaces with high-expansion foam generated at foam generators.
For optimal effectiveness it is critical that the foam concentrate is mixed with water in the correct proportions throughout the fi re fighting operation. This is secured by the proportioner that gives the right mix in the full operating range.
ALMAR project team designs the system according to SOLAS and IMO rules.
